As teachers, we promise to love and encourage your children in a safe, hands-on, child-centered environment that fosters a love of learning.
When your child enters our Aldrich classroom, he/she will be given every opportunity to explore, wonder, problem solve, collaborate, communicate, and create. A great deal of time and effort will go into designing purposeful learning centers in both our indoor and outdoor classrooms. These centers are meant to enhance not only students’ academic skills, but their social/emotional, language, motor, and self-help skills as well.
We promise you will not see worksheets or “cookie-cutter” artwork in our classroom. Your child deserves an education more outstanding than that. Instead, your children will be busy exploring and discovering. They will create their own original works of art. They will be challenged to think outside the box, and to take risks within a safe environment. Our goal is for them to develop a passion for learning and a steady confidence that will carry with them as they enter elementary school. We will be messy! We will be creative! We will be challenged! We will have fun! And, most importantly, we will LEARN – all through the power of play!
